Triyuginarayan Temple is a historic and sacred site dedicated to Lord Vishnu, located in Triyuginarayan village of Rudraprayag district, Uttarakhand. According to ancient legends, Triyuginarayan was considered the capital of King Himavat, and it is the place where Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati were married.
It is believed that their wedding took place around a large sacred fire altar (Havan Kund), where fires were lit in all four directions. All the gods, sages, and divine beings, including Lord Brahma and Lord Vishnu, attended this divine wedding. Even today, devotees take the sacred ash from this Havan Kund to their homes and consider it a blessing for a happy married life.
