Triyuginarayan Temple is a historic and sacred site dedicated to Lord Vishnu, located in Triyuginarayan village of Rudraprayag district in Uttarakhand. According to mythological stories, Triyuginarayan was considered the capital of Himavat, and it is here that the sacred marriage of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati took place. It is said that their marriage was performed in a large havan kund here, where fire was lit in all four directions. In this divine wedding ceremony, Brahma, Vishnu, and all other gods and sages were present. Even today, devotees take the sacred ash from this havan kund to their homes and consider it a blessing for a happy married life.
