🙏 What Will Happen During This Mahanavami Shiv-Shakti Anushthan?
On the sacred occasion of Mahanavami, a Sankalp will be taken in your name and Gotra at Pashupatinath Temple, Nepal, followed by the traditional worship and Rudrabhishek of Lord Shiva. Through this joint Shiv-Shakti worship, prayers will be offered for marital happiness, Akhand Saubhagya, love and harmony between husband and wife, family peace and prosperity.
Located on the banks of the Bagmati River in Kathmandu, Nepal, Shri Pashupatinath Temple is revered as a sacred abode of Lord Shiva in his Pashupati form—the Lord of all living beings. According to a traditional legend associated with the temple, Lord Shiva once left Mount Kailash and came to the beautiful Kathmandu Valley, where he wandered in the form of a three-horned deer. When Lord Brahma and Lord Vishnu came searching for him, Brahma recognised the deer as Shiva and tried to catch hold of its horns. The horn is said to have broken into three pieces, with one part falling at the place that later became known as Pashupatinath.
According to the same tradition, when the deities requested Shiva to return to Kailash, he chose to remain there. Lord Vishnu then established Shiva in the form of a Linga on the elevated bank of the Bagmati River. The sacred Panchmukhi Shiva Linga worshipped here has four faces oriented in different directions, with the fifth facing upward.
Through the joint worship of Shiv-Parvati, prayers will be offered for love, trust and happiness between husband and wife.
By offering 16 Shringar to Maa Parvati, special prayers will be offered for Saubhagya, marital well-being and the grace of the Goddess.
Prayers will be offered for the pacification of disagreements and tension between husband and wife, along with mutual understanding, emotional connection and marital harmony.
Through Mahadev Rudrabhishek and the worship of Maa Parvati, prayers will be offered for peace, happiness, mutual affection and auspiciousness within the family.
Through this special Mahanavami Anushthan, prayers will be offered for the combined grace, protection and auspicious blessings of Lord Shiva and Maa Parvati for oneself and the family.
