Lord Hanuman is also known as Sankat Mochan, and Tuesday is especially dedicated to his worship. According to the Valmiki Ramayana, during the war of Lanka, when Lord Rama’s brother Lakshman became unconscious after being struck by an arrow, it was Hanuman Ji who saved his life by bringing the Sanjeevani herb.
When Hanuman Ji was on his way to bring the herb, Ravana sent a demon named Kaalnemi to create obstacles in his path. However, Hanuman Ji defeated the demon and successfully brought the Sanjeevani herb on time. This is why Hanuman Ji is known as “Sankat Mochan” and “Mayapati.”
