Maa Baglamukhi Mandir in Nalkheda, near Ujjain, is a famous and powerful Tantric Shaktipeeth situated on the banks of the Lakhundar River. This temple is dedicated to the three-faced Trishakti Baglamukhi Devi. It is believed that this temple has existed since Dwapar Yuga and is highly miraculous. Apart from Baglamukhi, idols of Maa Lakshmi, Lord Krishna, Hanuman, Bhairav, and Saraswati are also established here. It is said that this temple was established by Yudhishthira on the advice of Lord Krishna for victory in the Mahabharata war. It is also believed that the idol of Baglamukhi here is Swayambhu (self-manifested).
