🙏 What is the significance of Pitru Paksha Purnima Shraddha?
In Sanatan tradition, Pitru Paksha is considered a sacred period dedicated to remembering one’s ancestors and performing Shraddha, Tarpan and Pind Daan for them. Purnima Shraddha is especially performed for departed ancestors whose death occurred on the Purnima Tithi. On this day, ancestors are remembered with devotion and offerings of water, sesame seeds and other sacred rituals are made while praying for the peace, satisfaction and sadgati of their souls.
