🙏 What is the Significance of Pitru Paksha Saptami Shraddh?
In Sanatan tradition, every Tithi of Pitru Paksha is considered significant for performing Shraddh and Tarpan for one’s ancestors. Saptami Shraddh is primarily observed for departed ancestors who passed away on Saptami Tithi.
On this day, ancestors are remembered with devotion, and Shraddh and Tarpan are performed with prayers for their satisfaction, spiritual peace and Sadgati. Along with ancestral satisfaction, prayers are also offered for peace and prosperity within the family and for ancestral blessings upon future generations.
🌿 What is the Significance of Til Tarpan?
Til Tarpan is considered an important part of Pitru Karma. During this ritual, water and black sesame seeds are offered with devotion while remembering one’s ancestors.

Located at an altitude of approximately 3,800 metres in Nepal’s Mustang region, Muktinath Temple is a sacred shrine dedicated to Lord Vishnu. It is revered as Mukti Kshetra, as Lord Vishnu is associated with liberation from sins, worldly bonds and the cycle of birth and death.
The sacred Shaligram stones found in the Kali Gandaki River are revered in the Vaishnava tradition as manifestations of Lord Vishnu. The 108 sacred water spouts near the temple are associated with spiritual purification, cleansing and surrender. Revered in both Hindu and Buddhist traditions, Muktinath is an ancient and unique spiritual pilgrimage site.
