📍 What is the Kashi Gokarna Amavasya Pitru Shanti Puja & Yagya?

The Kashi Gokarna Amavasya Pitru Shanti Puja is a sacred Vedic ritual performed to offer Shraddha and Tarpan to one’s ancestors (Pitru Devtas) for their peace, liberation, and blessings.

  • Kashi (Varanasi) – Known as Mahasmashan (the great cremation ground), it is believed that performing Pitru-related rituals here ensures Moksha (liberation) for ancestors.

  • Gokarna – A holy place in Karnataka, revered for Pitru Karma and believed to absolve even Brahma Hatya Dosha and severe ancestral karmic debts.

  • Amavasya (New Moon) – Considered the most powerful day to connect with ancestors and perform Shraddha, as the Pitru Lok is believed to be closest to Earth on this day.
