🌑 What Problems Are Associated with the Unfavorable Effects of Rahu?
In Vedic astrology, Rahu is considered a shadow planet associated with sudden changes, confusion, ambition, and unexpected circumstances. According to astrological beliefs, an unfavorable placement of Rahu in a person’s birth chart may be associated with difficulty making decisions, mental unrest, fear, career setbacks, and imbalances in relationships.
This is why special mantra chanting and Havan rituals are traditionally performed to seek relief from the challenging influences of Rahu Mahadasha, Antardasha, and other Rahu-related planetary afflictions.

Located in Paithani village in the Pauri Garhwal district of Uttarakhand, Shri Rahu Temple is one of India’s rare religious sites where Rahu Dev is specially worshipped. The temple follows a unique tradition of worshipping Rahu alongside Lord Shiva. Devotees also offer moong dal khichdi as a sacred offering to Rahu Dev. According to local beliefs, the temple is associated with Adi Shankaracharya. It is said that after recognizing the spiritual significance of Rahu in this region, he established a temple here.
Religious traditions also associate this sacred region with the Kedarkhand section of the Skanda Purana. According to local legend, Rahu performed intense penance to Lord Shiva near the confluence of the Rathvahini and Navalika rivers. This region is also traditionally known as Rathkshetra. The name Paithani is believed to be connected with local mythological traditions associated with Rahu.
