Whether it’s delays in marriage, childbirth, job issues, or business hurdles, the Kaal Sarp Dosh Puja is known to clear blockages and invite timely success and opportunities by aligning your efforts with cosmic support.
Kaal Sarp Dosh is often closely linked with Pitra Dosh (ancestral karmic debt). This puja simultaneously addresses both, ensuring peace for your ancestors and release from inherited obstacles affecting your present life.
When performed at Trimbakeshwar Jyotirlinga, a sacred spiritual power centre and Shaktipeeth, the puja delivers long-lasting effects. The spiritual vibrations of this jyotirlinga amplify the impact, ensuring deep purification and karmic healing.
Kaal Sarp Dosh Puja is a powerful Vedic ritual performed to pacify the malefic effects of Rahu and Ketu. It is especially effective when performed at Trimbakeshwar Jyotirlinga, one of the 12 Jyotirlingas in India, located near Nashik, Maharashtra.
Kaal Sarp Dosh Puja is a powerful Vedic ritual performed to appease the malefic effects of Rahu and Ketu. This puja is considered highly effective when performed at Trimbakeshwar Jyotirlinga, Nashik, Maharashtra, as it is one of the twelve sacred Jyotirlinga sites in India. The puja begins with preliminary rituals, starting with the invocation of Lord Ganesha to remove all obstacles. This is followed by the worship of Varuna, the god of water, to purify the puja site and the participants. Then, Punyahavachanam is performed, a Vedic purification process that fills the entire environment with spiritual energy. The main puja ritual includes Shodasha Matrika Puja, where sixteen divine mother goddesses are worshipped to invoke protection, blessings, and harmony in the devotee’s life.
This is followed by the worship of the Naga deities, the central part of the puja, where twelve principal serpent gods and goddesses, including Rahu and Ketu, are worshipped with metal idols, milk, flowers, and mantras. Lord Shiva is then worshipped through Panchamrita Abhishek, Rudrakalasha Puja, and Navagraha Puja to mitigate karmic defects and balance planetary energies. A sacred Havan (fire ritual) is then performed, where offerings of clarified butter and herbs are made with mantras to neutralize negative karma, culminating in the Purnahuti (final offering). After the puja, a symbolic protection ritual is performed, and Prasad (consecrated food) is distributed. Traditionally, it is advised to abstain from non-vegetarian food and alcohol for 11 days after the puja to fully experience its benefits.
Trimbak is located in Nashik District, Maharashtra, India, and the presiding deity of the temple is Lord Shiva, worshipped here in the form of a Jyotirlinga. The Trimbakeshwar Jyotirlinga is one of the twelve most revered shrines of Shiva in India and is mentioned in the Shiv Purana. The Shivlinga here is unique because it has three naturally formed and visible faces representing Brahma the Creator, Vishnu the Preserver, and Shiva the Destroyer, making it distinct among all Jyotirlingas. The sacred Godavari River, often called the Ganga of the South, originates from the nearby Brahmagiri hills, and Trimbakeshwar is therefore considered a powerful center of spiritual purification.
The temple is built in the traditional Hemandpanthi architectural style using black basalt stone, and the sanctum is adorned with intricate carvings of floral designs and deities. The present structure was commissioned by Peshwa Balaji Baji Rao in the 18th century. Trimbakeshwar is an important hub for Hindu rituals such as Kaal Sarp Dosh Nivaran Puja, Narayan Nagbali Puja, Tripindi Shraddha, Mundan Sanskar, and various ancestral pujas, which are believed to remove negative planetary effects and ancestral curses.
Major festivals like Mahashivratri, Shravan Maas, and the Kumbh Mela are celebrated here with great devotion. Pilgrims also take a holy dip in the Kushavarta Kund, believing it washes away sins and brings spiritual renewal.
