Triyuginarayan Temple is a historical and sacred place dedicated to Lord Vishnu, located in the Triyuginarayan village of Rudraprayag district in Uttarakhand. According to mythological stories, Triyuginarayan was considered the capital of Himavat, and it is here that the divine wedding of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati took place. It is believed that their marriage was performed in a grand havan kund, where sacred fire was lit in all four directions. All the gods and sages, including Brahma and Vishnu, attended this divine wedding ceremony. Even today, devotees take the ash from this havan kund to their homes and consider it a blessing for a happy married life.
