Vishnu Sahasranama Path is one of the most powerful and revered practices in Sanatan Dharma. The temple is deeply connected to the legends of Nar-Narayan, Adi Shankaracharya, and Lord Vishnu’s earthly avatars.
Adi Shankaracharya, the great saint and reformer, is credited with reviving the temple in the 8th century AD.
It is part of both the Char Dham Yatra (Badrinath, Dwarka, Puri, Rameswaram) and Chhota Char Dham Yatra (Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, Badrinath).
The temple opens after Akshaya Tritiya (April–May) and remains accessible till Bhagwan Narayan returns to Yoga Nidra on Bhai Dooj (Oct–Nov).
